Description

Our green jute textile piece, with a weight of 280 g/m² and a width of 145 cm, is perfect for projects that aim to convey freshness, harmony, and a connection with nature.
The color green, derived from the Latin viridis (meaning green, vigorous, and young), evokes nature, fertility, life, and good health. This color, inspired by the shades of grass leaves or emerald, is synonymous with serenity and brings a sense of balance and well-being to those who observe it. In Western cultures, green is strongly associated with ecology and the commitment to environmental care.

Available Treatments

Our jute fabrics can undergo various treatments to better suit any project:

  • Dyeing (from 280 g/m²) – Available in a wide range of colors, with the possibility to dye in any shade.
  • Screen Printing – Printing in one color, two, or more as needed. We can print any type of logo or design on our fabrics (only for weights above 280 g/m² and with a minimum quantity).
  • Carding – A process that softens, aligns, and cleans the fibers to remove any impurities or irregularities.
  • Ironing – The burlap fabric comes pre-ironed by default, but we offer this finish to clients who request it, using steam ironing to remove possible wrinkles.
  • Singeing – Eliminates additional fibers from the fabric, giving it an extra touch of smoothness and visual appeal.
  • Waterproofing – As the name suggests, this treatment gives the fabric a liquid-repellent finish.
  • Fire Retardant Treatment – A treatment applied to the burlap fabric that improves its fire resistance, significantly reducing flammability and preventing flame propagation.
  • Calendering – A printing process using heat and pressure to transfer sublimation inks to the fabric. Through a calender machine, the ink fuses with the material’s fibers, ensuring vibrant and long-lasting colors.
  • Softening – This finish reduces the fabric’s natural stiffness, making it more flexible and pleasant to the touch. This process is achieved using softening agents that penetrate the fibers, relaxing their structure and improving the fabric’s malleability without compromising its strength or natural appearance.
  • Washing – Cleans and softens the fibers, removing impurities, dust, and natural residues left from production. A careful wash makes the jute more manageable and pleasant to the touch, while also achieving a more uniform and attractive tone.
  • Embroidery – A decorative process in which thread designs are applied to the fabric, adding personalized details and an artisanal touch. This finish brings a unique aesthetic to jute, perfect for fashion, decoration, and customized products, maintaining its rustic charm with an added sophistication.
  • Starching – A finish that gives rigidity and body to the fabric, improving fiber stability and durability, making it ideal for structured applications like footwear soles, curtains, upholstery, and decorative products.
  • Gumming – Applying a layer of glue or gum to strengthen the structure and reduce fraying. This finish is perfect for industrial applications and crafts, providing greater resistance and easier handling.
  • Stentering – A process of stretching and stabilizing the jute fabric using heat and tension to align the fibers. This helps the material maintain its shape and reduces shrinkage, making it suitable for applications requiring precise dimensions, such as tailoring and upholstery.
  • Folding – Involves pleating or folding the jute in specific sections to facilitate handling and transport. In addition to being practical, folding prevents damage and wear during storage, making it useful for those needing smaller quantities.
  • Printing – Printing allows for the application of patterns or designs using specific inks, adding customization and style to the material. This finish is popular in decoration, fashion, and accessories, enabling jute to maintain its natural character while adapting to different visual trends.
  • Oxygenation or Oiling – A process that treats the jute with oxygen or specific oils to enhance its softness and reduce any natural fiber odor. Additionally, it gives the fabric a more uniform appearance and makes it easier to handle, ideal for home decor and textile applications.
  • Lamination – A process that applies a protective layer over the jute, such as plastic or paper, making it more resistant to water and wear. This makes jute a more durable material, suitable for applications requiring extra protection, such as outdoor products or packaging.
  • Paper Backing – A process in which a layer of paper is adhered to the jute, combining the fabric’s texture with the practicality of paper. This finish adds rigidity to the material, making it useful for creative applications in stationery, decoration, and crafts.
  • Antibacterial Treatment – A special treatment that helps prevent bacterial growth on the fabric. Ideal for products in contact with people or food, this treatment extends the freshness of jute, making it safer and more hygienic.
  • Antistatic Treatment – This treatment reduces static electricity accumulation in jute fibers, which is especially useful for industrial applications and environments where static buildup can be a problem. It also enhances the fabric’s comfort for everyday use.
  • Scenting – The scenting process adds a light and pleasant fragrance to jute, improving the sensory experience for those who handle or come into close contact with the material. This finish is ideal for decorative products and packaging that seek a distinctive and pleasant touch.
  • Packaging – Jute is wrapped and packaged in protective bags to ensure its protection during transport and storage. This helps maintain the fabric in optimal condition until use and facilitates its organization and distribution.

These treatments ensure a high-quality and functional finish while maintaining our commitment to sustainability.
