Sisal fiber

Sisal is a strong fiber used in composite materials for automobile, shipbuilding and construction industry where it is used to add strength in cement mixtures. Sisal can substitute or enhance fiber glass. We also find sisal fiber in the field of furniture, paper and plastic.

Sisal has a wide variety of applications, we can mention for example: Twine, rope, string, yarn, carpets, bags, handicrafts, etc.

This fiber is obtained from a plant of Mexican origin. This hardy plant grows well in hot climate and arid regions which are often unsuitable for other crops.
