Ecological products are becoming more common on supermarket shelves. Today, we have the opportunity to purchase these environmentally friendly products at a reasonable price. With just a small personal effort, we can improve our world and feel the pleasant "sensation" of contributing to this change. Our production system nowadays does not benefit people; those who cannot hold on to the lowest prices, get lost along the way. We are dehumanizing us:(

But people around the world are becoming more aware of their  consumption impact and realize that, through concrete actions, they can influence the course of events and contribute to better world, where the winners are not always "markets" and losers "people".

But, how? Where? Apart from biological product shops and supermarkets such as Carrefour, Alcampo, we can also help local producers to promote organic farming. Mercatrémol and La Bastida are two examples in Alicante.

Members of these associations can purchase green products directly from these organic farming without intermediary .

Farmers can then fix prices that correspond to their products and therefore make a living with this activity.

Apart from fruits and vegetables, you can find other green products at reasonable prices in the above mentioned places:

House products: Bamboo clothes hangers (fast reforestation), Recycled plastic trash bags (various sizes), Dishwasher detergent, Dishwasher tablets, Washing machine detergent, Floor cleaner, Vitroceramic cleaner, Anti-calc for taps, Specific cleaning products for bathroom, Underwear (fair trade cotton), Recycled plastic stapler and wide range of ecological paper, Body wash (a bit expensive)

Food: Juice, Jam, Cereal, Biscuits, Coffee, Tea, Yogurt, Cheese, Delicatessen, Pizza, Meat, Bread, Milk, Dried fruit, Chocolate, Nougat

These are some of many products.

Everyday when I do my shopping, I discover new varieties. Although we cannot buy everything organic for several reasons, we can start with some products and gradually expand our green purchases. Our planet will thank us it!
