Available Treatments
Our jute fabrics can undergo various treatments to better suit any project, including:
- Dyeing (from 280 g/m²): Available in a wide range of colors, with custom dyeing options.
- Screen Printing: One-color, two-color, or multi-color printing available. We can print any logo or design on our fabrics (only for weights over 280 g/m² and with a minimum order quantity).
- Carding: A process that aligns and softens the fibers while removing any impurities or irregularities.
- Ironing: The burlap fabric comes pre-ironed, but an additional steam ironing treatment is available upon request to remove wrinkles.
- Singeing: Removes excess fibers from the fabric, providing extra softness and a more refined appearance.
- Waterproofing or Water-Repellent Treatment: Adds a coating that repels liquids.
- Flame Retardant Treatment: Significantly reduces the fabric’s flammability and prevents flame spread.
- Calendering: Uses heat and pressure to transfer sublimation inks onto the fabric, ensuring vibrant, long-lasting colors.
- Softening: This treatment reduces the natural stiffness of jute fibers, making the fabric more flexible and pleasant to the touch. Ideal for home textiles, upholstery, and decorative applications.
- Washing: Cleans and softens the fibers, removing impurities, dust, and natural residues left over from production. This process makes the fabric more manageable, achieving a more uniform and attractive tone while preserving its authentic look.
- Embroidery: Decorative stitching applied to jute fabric, adding custom details and a handcrafted touch. Ideal for fashion, home decor, and personalized products.
- Stiffening: Provides rigidity and structure to the fabric, making it ideal for applications that require a more solid material, such as shoe soles, curtains, upholstery, and decorative elements.
- Gumming: A layer of glue or gum is applied to the fibers to reinforce the structure and reduce fraying. Perfect for industrial applications and crafts.
- Heat Setting (Rameuse): A process that applies heat and tension to align the fibers, helping maintain the fabric’s shape and reducing shrinkage.
- Folding: Facilitates fabric handling and transport while preventing damage and wear during storage.
- Printing: Allows patterns or designs to be applied using specialized inks, adding customization while maintaining the fabric’s natural texture.
- Oxygenation or Oiling: Treats the jute with oxygen or specific oils to enhance softness and reduce any natural fiber odor. Additionally, it provides a more uniform look and makes the fabric more manageable and attractive, ideal for home decor and textile applications.
- Laminating: Adds a protective layer (plastic or paper) to make the fabric more resistant to water and wear. Ideal for packaging and outdoor products.
- Paper Backing: A layer of paper is adhered to the jute, combining its natural texture with added stiffness, making it suitable for stationery, decoration, and craft projects.
- Antibacterial Treatment: Prevents bacterial growth on the fabric, making it ideal for products that come into contact with people or food.
- Antistatic Treatment: Reduces the buildup of static electricity, especially useful in industrial applications and environments where static is an issue. Also improves comfort for everyday use.
- Aromatization: Adds a light, pleasant fragrance to the jute, enhancing the sensory experience. Ideal for decor items and packaging looking for a unique and delightful touch.
- Bagging: The final packaging process, where jute is wrapped in protective bags to ensure its quality during transport and storage.
These treatments ensure a high-quality finish and optimal functionality while maintaining our commitment to sustainability.
