Available Treatments

Our jute fabrics can undergo various treatments to better adapt to any project, such as:

• dyeing: a wide variety of colors available, we can dye to any tone.

• screen printing – one color, two, or as many as needed. We can print any type of logo or design.

• carding: aligns and cleans the softened fibers to remove impurities or irregularities.

• ironing: sackcloth comes pre-ironed by default; steam ironing is available upon request to remove wrinkles.

• singeing: removes excess fibers, giving the fabric extra softness and a visually cleaner finish.

• water-repellent or waterproofing: adds a finish that repels liquids.

• flame retardant: treatment that enhances fire resistance, greatly reducing fabric flammability and preventing flame spread.

• calendering: printing process using heat and pressure to transfer sublimation inks to the fabric—vibrant and durable results.

• softening: reduces the natural stiffness of the fibers, creating a more flexible and pleasant texture without compromising strength.

• washing: carefully cleans and softens the fabric, removing residues and enhancing touch, tone, and uniformity.

• embroidery: decorative stitching with thread to add personalized and artisanal detail—ideal for fashion, decoration, and custom items.

• starching: gives structure and firmness to the fabric—perfect for shoe soles, curtains, upholstery, and decorative products.

• gumming: applies a layer of gum or adhesive to strengthen structure and reduce fraying—ideal for crafts and industrial use.

• tentering: process of stretching and heat-stabilizing the fabric to align fibers and prevent shrinkage—essential for precise applications.

• folding: the jute is pleated or folded for easier handling and transport—also helps preserve smaller quantities.

• printing: applies patterns or designs with specific inks, allowing for personalization while maintaining a natural aesthetic.

• oxygenation or oiling: treatment with oxygen or oils to improve softness and reduce natural odors—enhances manageability and appeal.

• lamination: adds a protective plastic or paper layer for greater resistance to moisture and wear—ideal for outdoor or packaging use.
