Available Treatments

Our jute fabrics can undergo various treatments to better suit any project, such as:

• dyeing: we offer a wide range of colors and can dye in any tone.

• screen printing – one color, two, or as many as needed. We can print any type of logo or design on our fabrics.

• carding: a process by which softened fibers are aligned and cleaned to remove any impurities or irregularities.

• ironing: the sack fabric comes pre-ironed by default, so this treatment is generally unnecessary. However, we offer it upon request. It is done using a steam iron to remove possible wrinkles.

• singing: removes excess fibers from the fabric, giving it extra softness and visual appeal.

• water-repellent or waterproofing: as the name suggests, it gives the fabric a liquid-repellent finish.

• flame retardant: this process applies a treatment that improves the fabric’s fire behavior, significantly reducing flammability and preventing flame spread.

• calendering: a printing process that uses heat and pressure to transfer sublimation inks onto the fabric. This fuses the ink with the fibers, making colors vibrant and long-lasting while increasing resistance to wear and washing.

• softening: this finish reduces the natural stiffness of the fibers, giving the fabric a more flexible and pleasant texture. It uses softening agents that relax the fiber structure while preserving strength and natural appearance—ideal for decoration, upholstery, and home textiles.

• washing: cleans and softens the fibers, removing impurities, dust, and natural residues remaining after production. A careful wash makes jute more manageable and pleasant to the touch, achieving a more uniform and attractive tone.

• embroidery: decorative process applying stitched designs to the fabric, adding a handcrafted and personalized touch. This gives jute a unique aesthetic, perfect for fashion, décor, and custom products, while retaining rustic charm with added sophistication.

• starching: a finish that adds stiffness and body to the fabric, enhancing stability and durability—ideal for soles, curtains, upholstery, and some decorative items.

• gumming: applies a layer of rubber or adhesive to the fibers to strengthen structure and reduce fraying. Perfect for industrial uses and crafts, adding durability and easier handling.

• tentering: a heat and tension treatment to stretch and stabilize the jute fabric. It aligns the fibers, maintains shape, and reduces shrinkage—ideal for precise applications like garment making and upholstery.

• folding: pleats or folds the jute into sections for easier handling and transport. It prevents damage and wear during storage and is useful for smaller quantities.

• printing: adds patterns or designs using special inks, allowing customization and style without losing the natural character of jute.

• oxygenation or oiling: treats the jute with oxygen or specific oils to enhance softness and reduce natural odor. Also gives a more uniform appearance and makes the fabric easier to handle—great for décor and home textiles.

• laminating: applies a protective layer such as plastic or paper to the jute, making it more water- and wear-resistant. Ideal for outdoor or packaging applications.

• paper backing: a layer of paper is adhered to the jute, combining the texture of the fabric with the practicality of paper—adds rigidity and is great for stationery, decoration, and crafts.

• antibacterial: a special treatment that prevents bacterial growth on the fabric. Ideal for items in contact with people or food, keeping the jute fresher, safer, and more hygienic.

• anti-static: reduces static electricity buildup in jute fibers, especially useful in industrial settings or areas where static could be an issue. Also improves comfort for everyday use.

• scented: adds a light and pleasant fragrance to the jute, enhancing the sensory experience for those handling or using the material. Perfect for décor and packaging products with a distinctive touch.

• bagging: a final treatment where the jute is wrapped and packed in bags, ensuring protection during transport and storage. Keeps the fabric in optimal condition until use and makes it easier to organize and distribute.
