Our jute fabrics can be subjected to various treatments to better suit any project, such as:
-
dyeing: we offer a wide range of colors and can dye in any shade.
-
screen printing – one color, two, or as many as needed. We can print any logo or design on our fabrics.
-
carding: a process in which softened fibers are aligned and cleaned to remove any impurities or irregularities.
-
ironing: sackcloth is pre-ironed by default; however, we offer this finish on request using steam pressing to remove possible wrinkles.
-
singeing: removes excess fibers from the fabric, giving it added softness and visual appeal.
-
water-repellent or waterproofing: provides a finish that repels liquids.
-
flame retardant: a treatment applied to improve the fabric’s fire performance by significantly reducing flammability and preventing flame spread.
-
calendering: a printing process using heat and pressure to transfer sublimation inks onto the fabric, fusing ink to the fibers for vibrant, durable colors.
-
softening: this finish reduces the natural stiffness of the fibers, making the fabric more flexible and pleasant to the touch—without compromising strength or natural look.
-
washing: cleans and softens the fibers, removing dust, impurities, and natural residues, resulting in a smoother, more uniform fabric.
-
embroidery: decorative stitching on the fabric for custom, handcrafted details—perfect for fashion, decor, or personalized products.
-
starching: adds stiffness and body to the fabric, improving stability and durability—ideal for shoe soles, curtains, upholstery, and decorative items.
-
gumming: applies a glue or rubber layer to reinforce the fabric and reduce fraying—great for industrial use and crafts.
-
tentering: a heat and tension process used to stretch and stabilize the fabric, align fibers, and reduce shrinkage—ideal for precise applications like tailoring and upholstery.
-
folding: fabric is pleated or folded in sections for easier handling and transport; also protects it during storage.
-
printing: allows for applying patterns or designs using specialized inks, adding personalization while maintaining the fabric’s natural look.
-
oxygenation or oiling: treats the fabric with oxygen or specific oils to improve softness and reduce natural odors—resulting in a more uniform, pleasant material.
-
lamination: applies a protective layer (plastic or paper) to improve water and abrasion resistance—ideal for outdoor or packaging use.
-
paper backing: a layer of paper is adhered to the jute, combining fabric texture with paper practicality—useful for stationery, decoration, and crafts.
-
antibacterial: a special treatment that prevents bacteria growth—ideal for items in contact with people or food.
-
anti-static: reduces the buildup of static electricity in the fibers—especially useful in industrial settings, also improves comfort in daily use.
-
scented: a light, pleasant fragrance is added to the fabric—ideal for decorative or packaging products with a sensory touch.
-
bagging: final process where the fabric is wrapped and packed in bags to ensure protection during storage and transport.
