Our jute fabrics can be subjected to various treatments to better adapt to any project, such as:
-
dyeing: we offer a wide variety of colors and can dye in any tone.
-
screen printing – in one, two, or as many colors as needed. We can print any type of logo or design on our fabrics.
-
carding: a process where the softened fibers are aligned and cleaned to remove any impurities or irregularities.
-
ironing: sackcloth is pre-ironed by default, but this finish is available for those who request it. It is done with steam pressing to remove possible wrinkles.
-
singeing: removes excess fibers from the fabric, giving it extra softness and visual appeal.
-
water-repellent or waterproofing: gives the fabric a finish that repels liquids.
-
flame retardant: a treatment applied to the sackcloth that improves fire resistance, greatly reducing flammability and preventing flame spread.
-
calendering: a printing process that uses heat and pressure to transfer sublimation inks onto the fabric, bonding the ink with the fibers for vibrant, durable colors.
-
softening: this finish reduces the natural stiffness of the fibers, giving the fabric a more flexible and pleasant feel. It uses softening agents to relax the structure without compromising strength or natural appearance—ideal for decoration, upholstery, and home textiles.
-
washing: cleans and softens the fibers, removing impurities, dust, and natural residues. Makes the jute more manageable and achieves a more uniform and attractive tone while preserving authenticity.
-
embroidery: decorative process using thread to apply designs to the fabric, adding personalized and handcrafted detail. Ideal for fashion, decoration, and custom products.
-
starching: gives stiffness and structure to the fabric, improving stability and durability. Ideal for soles, curtains, upholstery, and certain decorative products.
-
gumming: applies a layer of glue to the fibers to strengthen structure and reduce fraying. Great for industrial uses and crafts.
-
tentering: stretching and stabilizing the fabric with heat and tension to align fibers, reduce shrinkage, and maintain shape—perfect for precise applications like sewing and upholstery.
-
folding: folds or pleats the jute in sections to facilitate handling and transport, avoiding damage and wear during storage.
-
printing: allows for patterns or designs to be applied using specific inks—great for personalized styles while preserving natural fiber look.
-
oxygenation or oiling: improves softness and reduces natural odor of the fibers. Creates a more uniform appearance and better handling, ideal for decoration and home textiles.
-
laminating: applies a protective layer such as plastic or paper to make the fabric more resistant to water and wear—suitable for outdoor or packaging use.
-
paper backing: a paper layer is adhered to the fabric, combining jute texture with paper practicality—ideal for stationery, decoration, and crafts.
-
antibacterial: special treatment that prevents bacterial growth on the fabric. Ideal for products in contact with people or food.
-
anti-static: reduces static electricity in jute fibers, helpful in industrial or sensitive environments, and enhances comfort in daily use.
-
scented: adds a light, pleasant fragrance to the fabric—perfect for decoration and packaging seeking a distinctive touch.
-
bagging: the final treatment in which the jute is wrapped and packed in bags for protection during shipping and storage.
