Available Treatments
Our jute fabrics can be customized with various treatments to suit your specific project, such as:
- dyeing (from 280 gr): Available in a wide range of colors, with the ability to match any tone.
- screen printing – in one color, two or as many as needed. We can print any type of logo or drawing on our fabrics (only for weights above 280gr and with a minimum of meters)
- carding: a process by which the softened fibers are aligned and cleaned to remove any impurities or irregularities.
- ironing: the sack fabric comes by default already ironed and this treatment would not be necessary. However, we offer this finish to customers who wish it. It is done by steam iron to remove possible wrinkles.
- singeing: This is about removing those extra fibers from the fabric, giving it that extra boost of softness and visual appeal.
- waterproofing: as its name suggests, it is about giving it a finish that repels liquids.
- fireproofing: This process involves a treatment that is applied to the sack fabric and that improves its behavior against fire, greatly reducing the flammability of the fabric, in addition to preventing the spread of flames.
- calendering: printing process that uses heat and pressure to transfer sublimation inks to the fabric. Through a calender, the ink is fused with the fibers of the material, allowing the colors to be vibrant and long-lasting. This process not only enhances the aesthetics of the final product, but also ensures its resistance to wear and washing.
- softening: this finish is applied to reduce the natural stiffness of the fibers, making the fabric acquire a more flexible and pleasant texture to the touch. This process is carried out by using products or softening agents that penetrate the fibers, relaxing their structure and improving the malleability of the material without compromising its resistance or its natural appearance. Thanks to the softening, the jute becomes more versatile for use in applications where a softer and more comfortable finish is desired, such as in decoration, upholstery and home textiles.
- washing: process that helps to clean and soften the fibers, removing impurities, dust and natural residues that may remain in the fabric after its production. Through careful washing, the jute becomes more manageable and pleasant to the touch, in addition to achieving a more uniform and attractive tone, preserving its authenticity and natural appearance.
- embroidery: Embroidery on jute is a decorative process in which designs are applied with thread on the fabric, adding personalized details and an artisan touch. This finish brings a unique aesthetic to the jute, perfect for applications in fashion, decoration and personalized products, preserving its rustic charm with greater visual sophistication.
- sizing: finish that consists of giving rigidity and body to the fabric. This process improves the stability and durability of the fibers, making it ideal for uses where a more structured material is required, such as in the manufacture of soles for footwear, in curtains, upholstery and certain decorative products.
- gumming: involves applying a layer of rubber or glue to the fibers to strengthen the structure and reduce fraying. This finish is ideal for industrial applications and crafts, providing greater resistance to the fabric and facilitating its manipulation in various projects.
- stretching: is a process of stretching and stabilizing the jute fabric, where heat and tension are applied to align the fibers. This helps maintain the shape of the material and reduces its shrinkage, making the jute better retain its dimensions and ideal for applications where precision is important, such as in clothing and upholstery.
- folding: consists of pleating or folding the jute into specific sections to facilitate its handling and transport. In addition to being practical, folding prevents damage and wear during storage and is useful for those who require smaller quantities of the fabric.
- printing: Printing allows applying patterns or designs using specific inks, adding personalization and style to the material. This finish is popular in decoration, fashion and accessories, allowing the jute to maintain its natural character while adapting to various visual trends.
- oxygenation or oiling: This process involves treating the jute with oxygen or specific oils to improve its softness and reduce any natural odor of the fibers. In addition, it provides a more uniform appearance and makes the fabric more manageable and attractive, ideal for decorative items and home textiles.
- laminating: Laminating involves applying a protective layer on the jute, such as plastic or paper, to make it more resistant to water and wear. This makes the jute a more durable material, suitable for applications where additional protection is required, such as in outdoor products or packaging.
- applying paper: process in which a layer of paper is adhered to the jute, combining the texture of the fabric with the practicality of paper. This finish provides greater rigidity to the material and makes it useful for creative applications in stationery, decoration and crafts.
- antibacterial: special treatment that helps prevent the growth of bacteria in the fabric. Ideal for products in contact with people or food, this treatment prolongs the freshness of the jute, making it safer and more hygienic.
- antistatic: This treatment reduces the accumulation of static electricity in the jute fibers, which is especially useful in industrial applications and in environments where static buildup can be a problem. It also helps to improve the comfort of the fabric in everyday uses.
- scented: The scenting process adds a light and pleasant fragrance to the jute, enhancing the sensory experience of those who handle it or have close contact with the material. This finish is ideal for decorative products and packaging that seek a distinctive and pleasant touch.
- bagging: Bagging is a final finish in which the jute is wrapped and packaged in bags, ensuring its protection during transport and storage. This helps keep the fabric in optimal condition until use and facilitates its organization and distribution.
- Others
These treatments guarantee a high-quality and functional finish, without losing the commitment to sustainability.
