Available Treatments
Our jute fabrics can undergo various treatments to better adapt to any project, such as:
- Dyeing (from 280 g/m² onwards) – We offer a wide range of colors and can dye the fabric in any shade.
- Screen Printing – Printing in one or multiple colors. We can print any type of logo or design on our fabrics (only for weights over 280 g/m² and with a minimum order).
- Carding – Process that softens, aligns, and cleans the fibers to remove any impurities or irregularities.
- Ironing – The fabric is delivered pre-ironed by default, but we offer this service to customers who request it. Steam ironing removes any wrinkles.
- Singeing – Removes excess fibers from the fabric, giving it extra softness and a refined look.
- Waterproofing/Repellent Treatment – Provides a finish that repels liquids.
- Fireproofing – A treatment that improves the fabric’s fire resistance, significantly reducing flammability and preventing flame spread.
- Calendering – A printing process using heat and pressure to transfer sublimation inks to the fabric. This enhances color vibrancy and durability while ensuring resistance to wear and washing.
- Softening – Reduces the fabric’s natural stiffness, making it more flexible and pleasant to the touch. This process is ideal for applications where a softer and more comfortable finish is desired, such as decoration, upholstery, and home textiles.
- Washing – Cleans and softens fibers, removing impurities, dust, and natural residues left from production. A carefully washed jute fabric is more manageable, pleasant to the touch, and visually appealing while maintaining its authenticity.
- Embroidery – Decorative embroidery on jute, applying thread-based designs to personalize and add an artisanal touch. Perfect for fashion, decoration, and customized products while maintaining the rustic charm of jute with added sophistication.
- Starching – A finish that gives the fabric stiffness and body, improving fiber stability and durability. This is ideal for applications requiring a more structured material, such as shoe soles, curtains, upholstery, and certain decorative products.
- Gumming – The application of a gum or adhesive layer to reinforce the structure and reduce fraying. This finish is ideal for industrial applications and crafts, adding strength and making the fabric easier to handle.
- Stretching – A process that stabilizes the jute fabric by applying heat and tension to align fibers. This helps maintain its shape and reduces shrinkage, making it ideal for applications requiring precise dimensions, such as upholstery and tailoring.
- Folding – The jute is folded into specific sections for easier handling and transportation. This practical method prevents damage and wear during storage and is useful for those requiring smaller fabric quantities.
- Printing – Allows patterns or designs to be applied using specialized inks, adding customization and style to the material. This finish is popular in decoration, fashion, and accessories, allowing jute to maintain its natural character while adapting to various design trends.
- Oxygenation/Oiling – A process that treats jute with oxygen or specific oils to improve softness and eliminate any natural fiber odors. It also enhances the fabric’s uniformity and makes it more manageable and appealing, ideal for decoration and home textiles.
- Laminating – A protective layer (plastic or paper) is applied to the jute to make it more resistant to water and wear. This makes the fabric more durable, suitable for applications requiring additional protection, such as outdoor products or packaging.
- Paper Backing – A process where a layer of paper is attached to the jute, combining the fabric’s texture with paper’s practicality. This finish adds rigidity, making it useful for creative applications in stationery, decoration, and crafts.
- Antibacterial Treatment – Prevents bacterial growth on the fabric, making it ideal for products that come into contact with people or food. This treatment extends the freshness of jute, making it safer and more hygienic.
- Antistatic Treatment – Reduces static electricity buildup in jute fibers, which is particularly useful in industrial applications and environments where static accumulation can be an issue. It also improves comfort in everyday use.
- Scented Treatment – Adds a light, pleasant fragrance to the jute, enhancing the sensory experience for those handling or using the material. This finish is ideal for decoration and packaging products seeking a distinctive and appealing touch.
- Bagging – A final finish where the jute is wrapped and packaged in protective bags, ensuring its integrity during transport and storage. This helps maintain the fabric in optimal condition until use and facilitates organization and distribution.
These treatments guarantee a high-quality and functional finish while maintaining a commitment to sustainability.
